FUTBIN vs EA Companion App: What's the Difference?
A clear comparison between FUTBIN's third-party planning and market tools and EA's official Companion App account functions.
FUTBIN and the EA SPORTS FC Companion App can both be used alongside Ultimate Team, but they are different services with different roles.
FUTBIN is a third-party information tool
FUTBIN focuses on player prices, databases, squad building, tactics, SBCs, Evolutions, notifications and other analysis features. It is operated by Better Collective A/S, not by EA.
EA Companion is an official club-management app
EA's Companion App is part of the official EA SPORTS FC ecosystem. It is designed for actions tied directly to the player's Ultimate Team club, subject to EA Account status and transfer-market access.
Can FUTBIN access an EA Account?
EA currently lists FUTBIN as an approved community partner for account connections. That allows approved data access through EA's authorization process. It does not turn FUTBIN into the official Companion App or give FUTBIN ownership of the account.
Credentials stay with EA
EA says users should authenticate through EA and that the approved community partner does not receive the EA password. Always check the EA authorization screen before granting access.
Which should you use?
Use FUTBIN when you want research, market data and planning tools. Use EA's official systems when you need direct club actions, account security, entitlements or transfer-market functions.
See our FUTBIN account-connection guide for the approved-partner security details.
